As a Speech and Language Therapist with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, working across inpatient and community settings, you will provide specialist assessment and intervention to adults with communication and swallowing difficulties within acute and general medicine services. Operating at Bands 6 and 7, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored therapy that supports recovery and improves quality of life.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication and swallowing needs.

  • Develop, implement and evaluate personalised therapy programmes based on clinical priorities and best practice.

  • Work collaboratively with patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals to coordinate care and support.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records in accordance with NHS and professional standards.

  • Provide training, advice and support to patients, carers and colleagues on communication strategies and safe swallowing.

  • Contribute to service development, leadership and quality improvement initiatives within the speech and language therapy service.
