Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a qualified and experienced Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join the adult inpatient and community teams. This role provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care for adults with communication, swallowing, and general medical needs across acute and community settings.
Carry out assessment, diagnosis, and management of adults with speech, language, communication, and swallowing (dysphagia) difficulties.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, person-centred care and effective discharge planning.
Support patients with a range of general medical and acute conditions through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Contribute to the development and implementation of treatment plans, care pathways, and therapy programmes.
Participate in clinical supervision, training, and mentorship for students and less experienced staff.
Engage in professional development, reflective practice, and quality improvement activities to maintain high standards of care.
