Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is seeking a qualified and experienced Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to join the paediatric team. This role provides the opportunity to deliver expert assessment and management of children with speech, language, communication, and swallowing (dysphagia) needs, while leading service development and supporting colleagues within a specialist multidisciplinary environment.
Provide advanced assessment, diagnosis, and management of paediatric speech, language, communication, and swallowing (dysphagia) needs.
Lead and develop the paediatric speech and language therapy service, ensuring delivery of evidence-based, child-centred care.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, families, and carers to design and implement safe and effective care pathways.
Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and professional support to junior therapists, assistants, and students.
Participate in service evaluation, audit, and quality improvement initiatives to drive service excellence.
Engage in continuing professional development, research, and reflective practice to maintain and enhance specialist paediatric knowledge and clinical leadership.
