Physiotherapist – Band 6

Tripod Partners are recruiting an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist for a locum opportunity with London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, based at Northwick Park Hospital. Working within the North West London NHS, you will provide high-quality physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation within a busy acute hospital setting.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Physiotherapist with recent acute NHS experience who is confident managing a varied inpatient caseload. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting patients through assessment, rehabilitation, discharge planning, and recovery to achieve the best possible clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment for patients within an acute hospital setting.
- Manage a varied inpatient caseload, delivering evidence-based physiotherapy interventions.
- Develop personalised rehabilitation programmes that promote recovery, mobility, and functional independence.
- Carry out comprehensive assessments and formulate clinically appropriate treatment plans.
- Monitor patient progress and modify interventions to achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
- Support safe and timely discharge planning in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide education and advice to patients, carers, and families to support ongoing recovery and self-management.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with HCPC standards and Trust policies.
- Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, therapy, and discharge teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care.
- Contribute to service quality, clinical governance, and continuous professional development.
About You
You will be a HCPC-registered Physiotherapist with recent experience working within an NHS acute hospital environment. You will have excellent assessment, rehabilitation, and clinical reasoning skills, together with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
You will be committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy interventions that support safe discharge, maximise recovery, and improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Recent NHS acute hospital physiotherapy experience is essential.
- Strong assessment, rehabilitation, and clinical reasoning skills.
- Experience managing inpatient physiotherapy caseloads.
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team-working skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritise a busy clinical workload.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, clinical governance, and continuing professional development.
