Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist – Band 7 (Part time, currently) Area: Kent NHS Salary: £negotiable Job Type: Locum Contract length: Ongoing Job details: To cover vacancy. Community Neuro Rehab. Speech and Language Therapist required to work as part of a busy Adult Community Speech and Language Therapy team based in North Kent, across a large geographical patch (Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley and Swale), carrying out assessment and intervention for patients mainly with dysphagia and some communication. Patient groups include dementia, elderly care, progressive neurological conditions, stroke, FND. The post holder will see patients in their own homes, nursing homes, community inpatient rehab wards, outpatient clinics and virtually as indicated. Must be a car driver. The post holder will also support the team with triage. Knowledge of EMIS electronic records system desirable but not essential as some training can be given. Fully remote Speech and Language Therapists will be considered for the role but would prefer candidates who can work face to face in the first instance.
