Brief Job Overview

 

Tripod Partners are recruiting a Service Manager for a locum role within North London Social Services. This position leads a Reablement Service, which includes a therapy team and in-house home care provision, supporting individuals to regain independence following illness, injury, or reduced functional ability.

 

The Service Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring that services are delivered safely and effectively. The role focuses on leading frontline staff, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring that support plans are person-centred and outcome-focused. Close partnership working with health and social care colleagues is central to this role.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Reablement Service, including therapy and in-house care provision.
  • Lead, support, and guide frontline staff to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Ensure care plans are safe, person-centred, and focused on achieving positive outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with health and social care partners to deliver integrated services.
  • Monitor service quality, performance, and outcomes to ensure standards are met.
  • Support continuous improvement within the service and contribute to service development.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and statutory responsibilities.

 

About You

 

You will be an experienced Service Manager or senior leader within social care services, with a 
strong understanding of reablement or rehabilitation-focused services. You will be confident leading teams, 
managing service performance, and supporting staff to deliver high-quality care.

 

You will demonstrate strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to work 
collaboratively across health and social care systems to achieve positive outcomes for service users.

 

Requirements

 

  • Experience managing or leading services within adult social care or reablement services.
  • Strong understanding of reablement, rehabilitation, and person-centred care approaches.
  • Experience managing staff and overseeing service performance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with health and social care partners.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
