Manage a complex caseload of children and families for Durham County Council, including cases involving Child Protection, Looked After Children, and court proceedings, ensuring all statutory duties are fulfilled.
Provide professional guidance, mentoring, and informal supervision to less experienced social workers and students, promoting best practice and reflective learning.
Undertake in-depth assessments and develop robust, outcome-focused care plans that prioritise the child’s voice, safety, and wellbeing.
Prepare and quality-assure comprehensive reports for child protection conferences, LAC reviews, and legal proceedings, meeting legal and procedural standards.
Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and multi-agency partners to implement effective safeguarding and support interventions tailored to individual needs.
Contribute to continuous service improvement through involvement in audits, reflective team sessions, and the development of good practice across Durham County Council’s Children’s Services.
