Act on behalf of Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council to lead on complex and high-risk cases involving Child Protection, Looked After Children, and Court proceedings, ensuring statutory duties are met.
Provide professional guidance and mentoring to less experienced social workers and students, supporting the development of high-quality, reflective practice across the team.
Undertake and oversee complex assessments and care planning, ensuring the voice of the child is central and interventions are timely, evidence-based, and outcome-focused.
Prepare and quality-assure reports and documentation for legal proceedings, reviews, and multi-agency meetings in line with legislative and council standards.
Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, including health, education, and legal services, to ensure coordinated safeguarding and support for children and families.
Contribute to service development and quality assurance, including auditing casework, supporting team performance, and participating in improvement initiatives within Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
