Join Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council as a senior social worker to lead and manage complex statutory assessments for children and families in line with the Children Act 1989/2004 and safeguarding procedures.
Develop, implement, and review child-centred care and protection plans that promote safety, stability, and positive outcomes.
Manage a complex caseload, including high-risk situations, while providing professional support, mentoring, and informal supervision to junior staff and students.
Take a lead role in safeguarding processes, including Section 47 enquiries, strategy meetings, and preparation for child protection conferences and court proceedings.
Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners—such as health, education, police, and voluntary sector services—to provide coordinated and effective support for children and their families.
Ensure all recording and documentation meets the highest standards and is compliant with Social Work England regulations and Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council policies.
