Milton Keynes Council is committed to early identification and intervention to safeguard children at risk. We are looking for an experienced and analytical MASH Social Worker to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). This fast-paced, office-based role involves screening referrals, assessing risk, and working closely with partner agencies to ensure prompt, proportionate safeguarding responses.
Key Responsibilities:
Screen and assess new referrals: Gather and analyse information from multiple sources to determine risk levels and next steps in line with safeguarding thresholds.
Work collaboratively in a multi-agency setting: Liaise closely with police, health, education, and other professionals to make informed decisions and share relevant information.
Make timely decisions: Apply professional judgment to decide on appropriate levels of intervention, including strategy discussions or referrals to social work teams.
Maintain accurate and clear records: Document decisions, rationale, and contacts using the council’s case management system in accordance with statutory requirements.
