Lead on complex and high-risk cases within Staffordshire County Council’s Children’s Services, including Child Protection, Court Proceedings, and Looked After Children cases.
Provide mentoring, guidance, and informal supervision to social workers and newly qualified staff, promoting reflective and strengths-based practice.
Undertake advanced assessments under the Children Act 1989, ensuring that all care plans are child-focused, evidence-informed, and legally compliant.
Prepare and present high-quality reports for court, child protection conferences, and statutory reviews, maintaining a clear focus on the child’s best interests.
Act as a point of professional expertise within the team, supporting quality assurance activities and contributing to service improvement initiatives.
Work closely with multi-agency professionals to coordinate safeguarding responses, ensuring effective communication and shared responsibility for positive outcomes.
