Tripod Partners are recruiting an Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist for a locum role within North London Social Services. This position focuses on supporting Adult Social Care services, delivering specialist assessments and interventions for individuals with complex needs.

The role involves managing a reduced caseload of complex cases, providing expert clinical input across teams, and supporting service delivery. You will also play a key role in promoting independence through equipment provision, adaptations, and effective risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out specialist occupational therapy assessments for service users with complex needs.
• Manage a reduced caseload of complex cases across the borough.
• Assess and recommend equipment to support activities of daily living.
• Undertake assessments for major and minor adaptations, including detailed specifications.
• Carry out manual handling assessments to reduce risk for service users and carers.
• Support reduction of care packages, including single-handed care where appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across Adult Social Care.
• Provide professional expertise and support across teams.
• Deputise for the Team Manager when required.

About You

You will be an experienced Occupational Therapist with a strong background in 
adult social care and complex case management. You will demonstrate advanced clinical 
reasoning skills and the ability to support high-risk and complex cases.

You will be confident working across teams, providing leadership and clinical expertise, and contributing 
to effective service delivery.

Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Extensive experience within adult social care services.
• Experience with equipment provision, adaptations, and manual handling.
• Ability to manage complex caseloads and work autonomously.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
