Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting a Senior Occupational Therapist for a locum role within West Midlands Social Services. This position focuses on delivering community-based occupational therapy, supporting adults to maintain independence and improve outcomes within their own homes.

The Senior Occupational Therapist will work autonomously to assess, plan, and deliver interventions, supporting individuals with a range of needs. The role involves applying clinical expertise within a community setting, contributing to person-centred care and supporting individuals to live safely and independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out occupational therapy assessments within community settings.
• Manage a caseload and deliver person-centred interventions.
• Support individuals to maintain independence and improve daily living outcomes.
• Assess functional needs and recommend appropriate equipment and adaptations.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements.
• Provide professional input into care planning and service delivery.

About You

You will be an experienced Occupational Therapist with a background in 
community or adult social care services. You will demonstrate strong clinical reasoning 
skills and the ability to manage cases independently.

You will be confident working autonomously while also contributing to multidisciplinary working, 
supporting individuals to achieve improved independence and wellbeing.

Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Experience working within community occupational therapy or adult social care.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
