Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist – Band 6 Area: South West NHS Salary: £negotiable Job Type: Locum Contract length: Ongoing Job details: Integrated Community Team. Occupational Therapist required for 2 months, with potential to extend. This is a community role; therefore, the locum must be a driver and have their own vehicle. The post holder will be working in people’s homes, providing Home First and Reablement Assessments and follow ups. JD available on request: To work as a Senior Occupational Therapist in the Integrated Community Team (ICT). To work with adults with physical disabilities, cognitive impairment, mental health issues and complex social and community needs, experiencing occupational performance difficulties within and around their home environment.
To work as an integral member of the ICT to provide a service through assessing, collaborative goal setting, delivering and evaluating treatment.
To use a recognised model of practice to underpin all practice.
Assess and treat own caseload of patients/clients, adopting a health coaching approach for all intervention.
The post holder will provide supervision and support to registered OTs, OT assistants and reablement colleagues as appropriate.
Provide occupational therapy advice to other disciplines.
