Job Title: Senior Biomedical Scientist (Band 7) – Sussex Location: Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust Specialty: Haematology / Haemoglobinopathy Banding: Band 7 Contract: Temporary (6+ months) Hourly Pay: £32 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Process Haemoglobinopathy samples using Tosoh G11 and interpret results.
Report and document findings in compliance with NHS protocols.
Provide training and assess competencies of laboratory staff.
Assist in reviewing SOPs and managing laboratory operations.
Support achievement and maintenance of UKAS accreditation.
Requirements:
HCPC registration as a Senior Biomedical Scientist.
Proven experience in Haemoglobinopathy diagnostics.
