Band 5 Prison Nurse – County Durham
We have an excellent opportunity for a Band 5 Prison Nurse to join the healthcare team in County Durham. This is a rewarding and fast-paced role where you will play a crucial part in delivering essential healthcare within a secure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting evening reception duties for new arrivals
Administering medications and treatments in line with prescriptions
Providing primary healthcare, triage, and emergency response
Supporting patients with both physical and mental health needs
Working collaboratively with prison officers and other healthcare professionals
Ensuring compliance with prison security policies and clinical guidelines
Role Details:
? Location: County Durham
? Shift Times: 07:00 – 20:00, Monday – Friday (some weekend work available)
? Pay Rates (Umbrella Company payment):
£30 per hour – Weekdays
£31.50 per hour – Weekends
£40 per hour – Bank Holidays
? PAYE rates are also available – please enquire for details.
Requirements:
?? Registered Nurse (NMC Pin) – Band 5
?? Must be able to conduct evening reception duties
?? Current Prison Clearance is a must
