Theatre Nurse – Scrub, Anaesthetics, Recovery & More – Swindon

Position: Theatre Nurse (Scrub, Anaesthetics, Recovery, Circulating)

Location: Swindon

Pay Rates:

  • Weekday: £26 per hour
  • Nights & Saturdays: £32 per hour
  • Sundays & Bank Holidays: £40 per hour

Contract Length: Full-time, minimum 3 months (potential for extension)


Job Overview:

We are recruiting experienced and adaptable Theatre Nurses to join a leading surgical team in Swindon. This role welcomes Scrub Nurses, Anaesthetic Nurses, Recovery Nurses, Circulating Nurses, and Surgical First Assistants who have a passion for delivering high-quality perioperative care. You will work across multiple surgical specialities, including general surgery, orthopaedics, plastics, ENT, and more, ensuring a dynamic and rewarding theatre environment.


Key Responsibilities:

? Scrub Nurse – Prepare and manage surgical instruments, ensuring a sterile environment throughout procedures.
? Anaesthetic Nurse – Assist with pre-op assessments, administer anaesthesia support, and ensure patient safety during procedures.
? Recovery Nurse – Monitor patients post-surgery, managing pain relief and ensuring smooth recovery.
? Circulating Nurse – Maintain a well-organised theatre, ensuring all necessary equipment and safety checks are completed.
? Surgical First Assistant – Support the surgical team with hands-on assistance in procedures.
? Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring seamless patient care.
? Follow all infection control and theatre safety protocols to maintain high patient safety standards.


Requirements:

? NMC Registration (or HCPC for ODPs)
? At least 1 year of theatre experience
? Skilled in at least one of the following: Scrub, Anaesthetics, Recovery, Circulating, or First Assistance
? A strong understanding of surgical procedures, perioperative care, and theatre protocols
? Ability to work flexibly across days, nights, and weekends
