ICU Nurse – Intensive Care Unit

Tripod Partners are looking for experienced ICU Nurses to join the Intensive Care Unit in Weston-super-Mare. This is a full-time position requiring 7-day availability for a minimum of 3 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients, including those requiring mechanical ventilation and multi-organ support.
• Perform advanced patient monitoring, including ECG interpretation, invasive blood pressure monitoring, and oxygen therapy.
• Administer IV fluids, inotropes, and sedation protocols according to ICU guidelines.
• Assist with rapid response and emergency interventions, ensuring timely escalation of deteriorating patients.
• Collaborate with ICU physicians, anesthetists, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide emotional support and clear communication to families navigating complex care decisions.

Position Details:

• Location: Weston-super-Mare
• Work Pattern: Full-time, 7 days a week (Days, Nights, and Weekends)
• Contract Length: Minimum 3 months
• Rates:
• Weekday: £26.00 per hour
• Nights & Saturdays: £32.00 per hour
• Sundays & Bank Holidays: £40.00 per hour
• Pay Type: Umbrella or PAYE available

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with active NMC registration.
• Substantial ICU or critical care experience, with expertise in ventilated patient management.
• Ability to handle complex clinical situations, including sepsis, post-operative recovery, and hemodynamic instability.
• Proficient in ICU protocols, infection control, and evidence-based nursing interventions.
