Qualified Social Worker – Adults’ Services (Nottinghamshire County Council)
Job Overview
We are recruiting a dedicated **Qualified Social Worker (QSW)** to join the **Nottinghamshire County Council Adults’ Services team**. This role is focused on supporting adults with care and support needs, undertaking statutory assessments, and delivering interventions that promote independence, safety, and wellbeing.
As a Qualified Social Worker, you will manage a varied caseload, safeguard vulnerable adults, and work in partnership with families, carers, and multi-agency professionals to deliver effective and person-centred support.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake Care Act 2014 assessments to identify needs, strengths, and risks.
Develop, implement, and review person-centred care and support plans.
Manage safeguarding enquiries in line with statutory responsibilities.
Carry out Mental Capacity Act assessments and contribute to best-interest decisions.
Prepare clear, evidence-based reports for reviews, panels, and legal proceedings.
Work directly with adults, families, and carers to promote safety, independence, and wellbeing.
Collaborate with health services, housing, and voluntary organisations to ensure integrated care.
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant case recording in line with legislation and Nottinghamshire County Council policies.
Participate in reflective supervision, peer learning, and contribute to continuous service development.
About You
You are a motivated and resilient social worker with post-qualification experience in adults’ services. You are confident in safeguarding practice, able to manage complex cases, and committed to promoting dignity, independence, and positive outcomes for adults.
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker (QSW) with registration to **Social Work England**.
Experience within Adults’ Services, including safeguarding and complex case management.
Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and adult safeguarding frameworks.
Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.
Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
