Qualified Social Worker – Adults’ Services (Bromley Council)

Job Overview

We are recruiting a committed **Qualified Social Worker (QSW)** to join the **Bromley Council Adults’ Services team**. This role is focused on supporting adults with care and support needs, undertaking statutory assessments, and delivering interventions that promote independence, safety, and wellbeing.

You will manage a varied caseload, provide professional advice, and work in partnership with adults, families, carers, and multi-agency professionals to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake Care Act 2014 assessments to identify needs, risks, and strengths.

Develop, implement, and review person-centred care and support plans.

Manage safeguarding enquiries in line with statutory responsibilities.

Carry out Mental Capacity Act assessments and contribute to best-interest decisions.

Prepare clear, evidence-based reports for panels, reviews, and legal proceedings.

Work directly with adults, families, and carers to promote independence and wellbeing.

Collaborate with health services, housing, and voluntary organisations to deliver integrated support.

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant case records in line with legislation and Bromley Council policies.

Participate in reflective supervision, peer learning, and service development.

About You

You are a resilient and motivated social worker with post-qualification experience in adults’ services. You are confident in assessment and safeguarding practice, able to manage complex cases, and committed to supporting individuals to live independently and safely.

Requirements

Qualified Social Worker (QSW) with registration to **Social Work England**.

Experience within Adults’ Services, including safeguarding and complex case management.

Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and adult safeguarding frameworks.

Excellent assessment, communication, and report-writing skills.

Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
