Qualified Social Worker – Children’s Services (Enfield Council)
Job Overview
We are recruiting a dedicated **Qualified Social Worker (QSW)** to join the **Enfield Council Children’s Services team**. This role is focused on safeguarding children, supporting families, and delivering high-quality social work practice that promotes safety, stability, and positive long-term outcomes.
As a Qualified Social Worker, you will hold a varied caseload, undertake statutory assessments, and work closely with children, families, and multi-agency partners to deliver effective, child-centred support.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake statutory assessments under the Children Act to identify risks, needs, and strengths.
Develop, implement, and review child-focused care and protection plans.
Manage safeguarding and child protection cases in line with statutory responsibilities.
Prepare and present clear, evidence-based reports for child protection conferences, statutory reviews, and court proceedings.
Work directly with children, young people, and families to build positive and trusting relationships.
Collaborate with schools, health services, police, and voluntary organisations to ensure joined-up, multi-agency support.
Ensure case records are accurate, timely, and compliant with legislation and Enfield Council policies.
Engage in reflective supervision, peer learning, and contribute to service development.
About You
You are a motivated and resilient social worker with post-qualification experience in children’s services. You are confident in managing safeguarding practice, handling complex cases, and committed to improving outcomes for children and families.
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker (QSW) with registration to **Social Work England**.
Experience in Children’s Services, including safeguarding and child protection.
Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, statutory frameworks, and best practice.
Excellent assessment, communication, and report-writing skills.
Ability to manage a varied and complex caseload effectively.
