Undertake statutory social work responsibilities on behalf of Darlington Borough Council, supporting children and families across Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children services.
Manage a varied caseload, completing high-quality assessments and developing child-centred care plans that promote safety, stability, and long-term wellbeing.
Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families, ensuring their voices shape all assessments, interventions, and decision-making processes.
Prepare clear, evidence-based reports for legal proceedings, child protection conferences, and LAC reviews in accordance with statutory timescales and practice standards.
Collaborate effectively with professionals across education, health, and partner agencies to deliver coordinated safeguarding and early intervention responses.
Engage in regular supervision, reflective practice, and training to maintain professional standards and contribute to continuous improvement within Darlington’s Children’s Services.
