Lead on complex and high-risk cases for The Borough Council of Gateshead, including Child Protection, Looked After Children, and court proceedings, ensuring robust safeguarding and effective planning.
Provide mentoring, support, and informal supervision to social workers and students, encouraging reflective practice and the development of professional skills.
Conduct thorough assessments and develop outcome-focused care plans that centre the voice and needs of the child and family.
Prepare and quality-assure high-quality, evidence-based reports for legal proceedings, case conferences, and reviews in line with statutory and local standards.
Collaborate with multi-agency professionals to coordinate safeguarding responses and implement effective, child-centred interventions.
Support team development by contributing to audits, reflective learning, and quality assurance activities within Gateshead’s Children’s Services.
