We are seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join Lambeth Council’s Adults Safeguarding Team on a 3-month locum contract. The role focuses on protecting vulnerable adults at risk of abuse or neglect, conducting safeguarding enquiries, and ensuring care and support plans meet individual needs. The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the Care Act 2014, safeguarding legislation, and multi-agency working practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake safeguarding enquiries under Section 42 of the Care Act to assess and address risks of harm.
Complete capacity assessments and participate in Best Interest decision-making where appropriate.
Work collaboratively with health professionals, police, and other agencies to develop and implement safeguarding plans.
Manage a varied caseload, ensuring timely interventions and regular case reviews.
Provide clear and evidence-based reports for safeguarding meetings and case conferences.
Maintain accurate case records in line with legislative, policy, and procedural requirements.
