Join Southampton City Council’s Children’s Services as a Qualified Social Worker, providing statutory support to children and families to safeguard and improve their outcomes.
Carry out comprehensive assessments, child protection investigations, and care planning in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and local safeguarding protocols.
Manage a diverse caseload, including children in need, those subject to child protection plans, and looked after children, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
Work in partnership with families and multi-agency professionals to develop child-centred, outcome-focused support plans that promote safety and wellbeing.
Ensure the voice and lived experience of the child is central to all planning and decision-making, using a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach.
