Stoke-on-Trent City Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Children’s Social Worker to join their Child in Need (CIN) Team on a locum basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed professional to work within a supportive team environment, delivering effective interventions to safeguard children and support families.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of children and families under Child in Need and Child Protection plans.
Complete high-quality assessments and formulate effective, outcome-focused CIN plans.
Undertake statutory visits and direct work with children and families to assess risk, reduce harm, and promote well-being.
Collaborate with key agencies and participate in multi-agency meetings, core groups, and case conferences.
Prepare clear, analytical reports for conferences, Looked After Children reviews, and court proceedings as required.
Ensure all casework complies with legislation, statutory guidance, and Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s policies and procedures.
