Gloucestershire County Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Safeguarding Social Worker to join their dedicated Children’s Safeguarding Team on a locum basis. Key Responsibilities:
Undertake statutory safeguarding duties, including Section 47 investigations and risk assessments.
Manage a complex caseload of children and families requiring safeguarding interventions.
Work in partnership with families, schools, health professionals, and other agencies to ensure children are safeguarded effectively.
Develop and implement robust child protection plans and contribute to multi-agency meetings.
Prepare high-quality reports for court proceedings, case conferences, and reviews.
Ensure all practice aligns with current legislation, statutory guidance, and local policies.
