Cornwall Council is seeking a skilled and experienced Locum Social Worker to join their Adults Safeguarding Community Team. This role involves carrying out safeguarding enquiries and delivering person-centred support to adults at risk in community settings. Applicants should have strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and safeguarding procedures, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake Section 42 safeguarding enquiries for adults at risk of abuse or neglect in community settings.
Carry out strengths-based assessments and develop personalised support plans to promote independence and safety.
Liaise with health professionals, police, and community partners to coordinate safeguarding responses.
Provide timely and accurate documentation in line with legal frameworks and Cornwall Council protocols.
Participate in multi-agency safeguarding meetings and case conferences.
Promote best practice in adult safeguarding and uphold principles of Making Safeguarding Personal (MSP).
