Buckinghamshire County Council is looking for a skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our Child Protection and Children in Need teams. This role requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience in children’s social work and current registration with Social Work England (SWE). You will play a vital role in safeguarding children and supporting families through assessment, intervention, and partnership working.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans and Children in Need assessments.
Conduct thorough statutory assessments and develop effective support plans.
Work closely with families, schools, health professionals, and partner agencies to safeguard children.
Prepare reports and contribute to child protection conferences, reviews, and legal proceedings.
Maintain accurate, timely case records and comply with statutory guidance.
Essential Requirements:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in children’s social work.
Current Social Work England (SWE) registration.
Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, statutory frameworks, and best practices.
Excellent communication, assessment, and advocacy skills.
