Cornwall Council is seeking a flexible and experienced Locum Adult Social Worker to join our Adult Social Care team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse population, supporting adults with a range of needs including older adults, people with disabilities, and those with mental health challenges. The successful candidate will provide high-quality assessments, safeguarding interventions, and support planning in line with statutory guidance and local policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct person-centred assessments and reviews under the Care Act 2014 to identify eligible care and support needs.
Undertake safeguarding enquiries in accordance with Section 42 of the Care Act, protecting adults at risk.
Collaborate with health services, housing providers, and voluntary organisations to coordinate holistic care.
Apply the Mental Capacity Act 2005 when assessing capacity and making best interest decisions.
Maintain clear, accurate, and timely case records in line with Cornwall Council standards and statutory requirements.
