The London Borough of Sutton Council is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Children’s Social Worker to join our Children’s Services team. The role focuses on safeguarding children and young people who are at risk of harm, working collaboratively with families and partner agencies to promote positive outcomes. You will undertake assessments, develop care plans, and deliver interventions that put children’s welfare at the heart of your practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct statutory assessments under the Children Act 1989 to identify children’s needs and risks.
Develop and implement child protection and children in need plans in partnership with children, families, and multi-agency teams.
Attend child protection conferences, core groups, and strategy meetings, contributing professional social work input.
Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date case records and reports, ensuring compliance with Sutton Council’s policies and statutory guidance.
