The London Borough of Wandsworth Council is seeking a skilled and compassionate Child Protection Social Worker to join our safeguarding team. This role involves working with children and families where there are concerns of significant harm or risk, conducting assessments, and implementing protection plans to ensure children’s safety and well-being. The post holder will work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to provide effective safeguarding interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out statutory child protection assessments and Section 47 enquiries under the Children Act 1989.
Develop, implement, and review child protection plans that prioritise the child’s safety and welfare.
Participate in and contribute to child protection conferences, core groups, and strategy meetings.
Maintain detailed and accurate case records, reports, and documentation in accordance with Wandsworth Council policies and statutory requirements.
