Bradford Children’s Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Child Protection team. The role focuses on safeguarding children at risk of significant harm by undertaking assessments, planning, and interventions in line with statutory frameworks such as the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018). You will work collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency partners to promote safety and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct statutory child protection assessments and Section 47 enquiries to identify and manage risks of significant harm.
Develop and implement child protection plans, ensuring that the child’s voice is central to decision-making.
Participate in child protection conferences, core groups, strategy meetings, and court proceedings as required.
Maintain accurate and timely case records and reports in line with Bradford Council’s policies and statutory guidance.
