The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council is seeking a committed and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Looked After Children (LAC) team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, child-centred social work to children and young people in care, working collaboratively with carers, families, and partner agencies to ensure safety, permanency, and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of looked after children, conducting assessments, care planning, and reviews in line with statutory guidance.
Work closely with foster carers, residential providers, education, health professionals, and other agencies to support children’s developmental and emotional needs.
Prepare reports for Looked After Reviews, Child Protection Conferences, and court proceedings, representing the local authority as required.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and case files in compliance with City of Bradford Council policies and statutory requirements.
