Key Responsibilities:
Undertake and coordinate Section 42 enquiries under the Care Act 2014, ensuring timely risk assessment, protection planning, and resolution.
Engage with adults, carers, families, and partner agencies to ensure person-led safeguarding outcomes that respect autonomy and uphold human rights.
Apply the Mental Capacity Act 2005 in practice, completing capacity assessments and Best Interests decisions, and making referrals for DoLS or Court of Protection where necessary.
Maintain clear, accurate case notes and safeguarding documentation, ensuring all actions are legally defensible and in line with Surrey’s Adult Safeguarding Procedures.
