Warwickshire County Council is looking for passionate and skilled Child Protection Social Workers to join our dedicated safeguarding teams. In this frontline role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children at risk of significant harm. Our practice model is relationship-based and trauma-informed, supported by manageable caseloads, excellent supervision, and professional development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out statutory assessments under the Children Act 1989 and manage cases where children are subject to child protection plans or care proceedings.
Work directly with children and families using a strengths-based approach to reduce risk and build resilience.
Prepare clear, concise court reports and attend court as required, providing evidence in public law proceedings.
Engage in multi-agency working, attending strategy meetings, child protection conferences, and core groups to coordinate child safety planning.
