Clackmannanshire Council is seeking an experienced Locum Social Worker to join the Child Protection Team. This frontline role involves working with vulnerable children and families to assess risk, undertake statutory interventions, and contribute to safeguarding plans in line with Scottish legislation and GIRFEC (Getting It Right for Every Child) principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake comprehensive assessments under Section 22 and Section 25 of the Children (Scotland) Act 1995.
Respond to child protection referrals, chair strategy discussions, and carry out investigations under local and national procedures.
Prepare reports for Children’s Hearings, court proceedings, and child protection case conferences.
Liaise effectively with multi-agency partners, including education, health, and Police Scotland.
Maintain accurate and timely case notes in accordance with professional and council standards.
