Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking an experienced Locum Social Worker to join their Looked After Children (LAC) Team. The role focuses on providing high-quality, consistent social work to children in care, supporting them to achieve stability, permanence, and positive long-term outcomes. Hybrid working is supported, with office presence required for visits, statutory meetings, and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Hold a caseload of children who are looked after, ensuring care plans are regularly reviewed and progressed.
Work directly with children, carers, and birth families to promote emotional wellbeing, education, and placement stability.
Attend and contribute to LAC reviews, health assessments, Personal Education Plan (PEP) meetings, and court processes.
Develop, implement, and review care and pathway plans in line with statutory and local requirements.
Record work in a timely, clear, and analytical manner, maintaining compliance with the Children Act 1989 and related guidance.
