Wrexham County Borough Council is seeking a committed and experienced Locum Social Worker to join their Children in Need (CIN) Team. This role involves safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people through timely assessments, support planning, and intervention. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and experience working with vulnerable children and families in a statutory setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a varied caseload of Children in Need, offering appropriate intervention and support under relevant legislation.
Undertake Section 47 enquiries, assessments, and contribute to multi-agency Child Protection planning when required.
Work directly with children and families to develop and review care and support plans that promote safety, stability, and wellbeing.
Ensure timely and accurate recording of casework, assessments, and decision-making in line with local policies and statutory requirements.
Liaise effectively with schools, health professionals, and other stakeholders to deliver a multi-agency approach to safeguarding.
