About the Role

Tripod Partners are currently recruiting for a Highly Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist – Band 6 to join the pelvic health service at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, part of Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.

This is a two-month locum opportunity for an experienced Pelvic Health Physiotherapist with specialist skills in pelvic health assessment and treatment, bladder and bowel management and pelvic floor rehabilitation.

The successful Physiotherapist will manage an independent clinical caseload while working collaboratively with the wider bladder, bowel and pelvic health team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive pelvic health clinical assessments.
  • Develop and deliver appropriate physiotherapy treatment programmes based on individual clinical needs.
  • Provide specialist bladder and bowel management.
  • Deliver pelvic floor rehabilitation and appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Manage an independent clinical caseload effectively.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adapt treatment programmes where appropriate.
  • Provide patients with advice, education and strategies to support their ongoing pelvic health management.
  • Work effectively with the wider bladder, bowel and pelvic health multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with professional and NHS standards.
  • Contribute to the delivery of a high-quality specialist pelvic health service.

About You

We are looking for a confident and experienced Pelvic Health Physiotherapist who can work autonomously while contributing effectively to a specialist multidisciplinary service.

You will have appropriate pelvic health experience and be confident undertaking clinical assessments, delivering pelvic floor rehabilitation and supporting patients with bladder and bowel management.

You will be organised and able to manage an independent caseload, with excellent communication skills and a patient-centred approach.

Requirements

  • Relevant Physiotherapy qualification.
  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Appropriate specialist experience in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy.
  • Experience completing pelvic health clinical assessments.
  • Experience providing pelvic health treatment and rehabilitation.
  • Experience in bladder and bowel management.
  • Experience delivering pelvic floor rehabilitation.
  • Ability to manage an independent clinical caseload.
  • Ability to work effectively within a wider bladder, bowel and pelvic health team.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to delivering patient-centred specialist physiotherapy.

Working Arrangements

The role is full time at 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

There is also the option to work compressed hours across four days per week, providing flexibility around the working pattern.
