Job Details

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join its service on a locum basis, starting ASAP for an initial period of 3–6 weeks.

The successful candidate will have previous acute hospital experience and be confident working within a busy clinical environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a Physiotherapist looking for a short-term NHS placement within South London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality physiotherapy assessment and treatment within an acute clinical setting.

  • Manage an allocated caseload, prioritising patients according to clinical need.

  • Complete comprehensive assessments and develop appropriate, evidence-based treatment plans.

  • Deliver individualised physiotherapy interventions to support patients’ mobility, function and independence.

  • Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans accordingly.

  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to support effective patient management and discharge planning.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with professional and NHS standards.

  • Ensure safe and effective patient care while working within relevant clinical guidelines and policies.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Physiotherapy.

  • Current HCPC registration.

  • Previous experience working as a Physiotherapist within an acute hospital setting.

  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills.

  • Ability to manage and prioritise a busy caseload.

  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working skills.

  • Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider clinical team.

  • Immediate availability is desirable.
