  • Manage a varied caseload of patients with complex medical and rehabilitation needs.
  • Undertake comprehensive physical assessments and develop evidence-based rehabilitation programmes.
  • Deliver rehabilitation for patients recovering from complex illness and those stepping down from major trauma services.
  • Lead and coordinate effective discharge planning to facilitate safe and timely hospital discharge.
  • Work autonomously within a busy acute environment, prioritising workload and managing clinical risk effectively.
  • Work flexibly across different clinical areas to support service delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists, Doctors, Nurses, and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated, patient-centred care.
  • Provide education and advice to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals to support ongoing rehabilitation.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with HCPC and NHS standards.
  • Contribute to service development and the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services.

About You

You will be an HCPC-registered Physiotherapist with strong experience in acute hospital rehabilitation. You will be confident managing complex caseloads, working independently under pressure, and supporting patients with a wide range of medical conditions to achieve the best possible functional outcomes.

Experience within acute medicine, elderly care, frailty, gastroenterology, endocrine services, or trauma rehabilitation would be highly desirable, together with excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and multidisciplinary team-working skills.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy.
  • Current HCPC registration.
