Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting a Band 6 Physiotherapist for a locum role within North East London NHS. This position focuses on supporting patients with stroke and neurological conditions within community settings across Havering, Barking, and Dagenham.

The Physiotherapist will manage a complex caseload, delivering specialist assessment and treatment programmes to support rehabilitation, recovery, and independence. The role involves working closely within a multidisciplinary team while also supporting junior staff members.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a complex caseload of patients with stroke and neurological conditions.
• Carry out specialist physiotherapy assessments and treatment programmes.
• Deliver rehabilitation interventions within patients’ homes and local community settings.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Support and mentor junior staff members where appropriate.
• Travel across boroughs as required to deliver community-based services.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with NHS standards.
• Provide patient-centred care focused on rehabilitation and independence.

About You

You will be an experienced Physiotherapist with specialist knowledge in
stroke and/or neurology rehabilitation. You will demonstrate strong clinical reasoning
skills and the ability to manage complex caseloads independently within community settings.

You will be confident working autonomously and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while
supporting high-quality rehabilitation outcomes for patients.

Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy.
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Experience in stroke and/or neurological rehabilitation.
• Experience managing complex caseloads within community or rehabilitation settings.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential).
