Brief Job Overview
Tripod Partners are recruiting a Band 6 Paediatric Physiotherapist for a locum role within Surrey NHS. This position focuses on delivering specialist physiotherapy assessments and treatment for children with a range of conditions across clinic and community settings.
The Physiotherapist will work with children presenting with musculoskeletal, neurological, developmental delay, and complex needs, supporting their physical development and functional independence. The role involves close collaboration with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated and effective care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment for children with a wide range of conditions.
- Deliver interventions across clinic and community settings.
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to support children’s physical development and independence.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and education staff.
- Provide advice and guidance to parents, carers, and professionals involved in the child’s care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the EMIS system.
- Work autonomously and take responsibility for clinical decision-making.
About You
You will be a qualified Paediatric Physiotherapist with experience working with children
with a range of physical and developmental needs. You will demonstrate strong clinical reasoning skills
and the ability to manage a caseload independently.
You will also be confident working collaboratively with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams,
supporting children to achieve positive outcomes through effective physiotherapy intervention.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience working as a paediatric physiotherapist.
- Experience managing a range of conditions including musculoskeletal, neurological, and developmental needs.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a caseload.
- Experience using clinical systems such as EMIS desirable.
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary working skills.
