Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting a Band 6 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist for a locum role within South East London NHS. This position sits within an outpatient physiotherapy service, supporting patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions through assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.

The Physiotherapist will assess and manage patients presenting with musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, developing tailored treatment plans to improve mobility, reduce pain, and support functional recovery. Working as part of a physiotherapy outpatient team, the role involves delivering evidence-based physiotherapy interventions while supporting patients to regain independence in daily activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out physiotherapy assessments for patients presenting with musculoskeletal conditions.
• Develop and implement treatment plans to support recovery and functional improvement.
• Provide rehabilitation interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans where appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams involved in patient care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
• Provide advice and guidance to patients on managing musculoskeletal conditions.

About You

You will be a qualified Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with experience working within outpatient physiotherapy services. You will demonstrate strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills when managing patients with a range of musculoskeletal conditions.

You will also be confident working within a multidisciplinary team environment and supporting patients through rehabilitation programmes designed to improve mobility and independence.

Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy.
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ physiotherapy experience.
• Experience working within musculoskeletal outpatient services.
• Ability to assess and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.
• Strong communication and clinical documentation skills.

• Role: Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist – Band 6

• Contract Type: Locum
• Contract Length: Initially 2 months
• Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Flexibility: Option for flexible or compressed hours
• Salary: Negotiable
