Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting a Band 6 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist for a locum opportunity with 
NELFT NHS Foundation Trust within the Havering Community Service in 
North East London NHS. This role involves managing a remote physiotherapy clinic, 
supporting patients with musculoskeletal conditions through telephone-based consultations and digital clinical systems.

In this Band 6 Physiotherapist job in Havering, you will assess patients remotely, provide clinical advice, 
and develop management plans that support recovery, mobility, and long-term self-management. The role requires excellent 
communication skills, strong IT capability, and experience working with electronic patient record systems used within 
NHS community services.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a remote musculoskeletal physiotherapy clinic within the Havering community service.
• Conduct telephone-based physiotherapy assessments for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
• Provide rehabilitation advice, exercise guidance, and self-management strategies.
• Develop patient-centred treatment plans based on clinical assessment and patient needs.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using electronic patient record systems.
• Manage referrals and patient pathways using digital referral systems.
• Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues via telephone, email, and clinical systems.

About You

You will be an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with the ability to deliver effective clinical 
assessments remotely. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, particularly over the telephone, and be confident 
supporting patients through digital consultation methods.

You will also have strong IT skills and experience working with NHS electronic systems, enabling you to manage patient 
records, referrals, and clinical documentation effectively while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy.
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Experience working as a Band 6 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist.
• Experience managing musculoskeletal conditions within NHS services.
• Experience using RIO 9 electronic patient record system (essential).
• Experience using e-referrals systems desirable.
• Strong IT skills including experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including telephone and email communication.
