Service: Outpatient Hand Therapy

Job Details:

• Band 6 Hand Therapist required for immediate start to join a specialist hand therapy team.
• Based within the outpatient department at Croydon University Hospital.
• Assess and treat a wide range of hand and wrist conditions including trauma and elective cases.
• Manage conditions such as RA, OA, CRPS and post-surgical rehabilitation.
• Fabricate thermoplastic splints and deliver specialist hand therapy interventions.
• Provide wound care and rehabilitation plans tailored to patient needs.
• Work closely with Trauma & Orthopaedic Consultants through weekly clinics.
• Manage a varied and often complex caseload with effective prioritisation.
• Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.

Skills / Experience:

• Qualified Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with relevant registration.
• Essential: Experience working within a hand therapy role.
• Essential: Ability to fabricate thermoplastic splints.
• Experience managing trauma and elective hand therapy patients.
• Knowledge of hand/wrist pathologies and rehabilitation techniques.
• Experience in wound management.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.

Working Hours: Full time.
