Role Overview

We are seeking two experienced Band 6 Physiotherapists to support Escalation Areas within Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals.  
You will provide essential therapy input across general medical wards, supporting safe and timely patient flow and effective discharge planning.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide physiotherapy assessment and intervention to patients on medical wards.
  • Support safe, effective discharge planning in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Work flexibly across escalation areas as operational pressures require.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
  • Contribute to optimisation of patient mobility, function, and independence.

About You

  • HCPC registered Physiotherapist.
  • Significant experience within general medical inpatient settings.
  • Strong discharge planning knowledge and MDT collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage a busy, varied caseload.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Working Hours

  • Weekdays only (5 shifts)
  • 7.5 hours per day
  • Opportunity for extension subject to approval
