Job Overview
We are recruiting a Band 6 Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist to join Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, within the Hampshire NHS. This locum role sits within a musculoskeletal outpatient service, delivering assessment and treatment for adults with MSK conditions. The post is well suited to a Physiotherapist with solid MSK experience who is confident working in an outpatient environment.
Key Responsibilities

- Assess and treat adults presenting with a range of musculoskeletal conditions in an outpatient setting.
- Develop and deliver individualised, evidence-based physiotherapy treatment plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adapt interventions to support recovery and functional improvement.
- Provide clear advice, education, and self-management strategies to patients.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with Trust and HCPC standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the MSK service and wider multidisciplinary team.
About You
You are an experienced MSK Physiotherapist with strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills. You are confident managing an outpatient caseload and delivering effective, patient-centred treatment. Your professional approach and communication skills support high-quality care and positive patient outcomes.
Requirements

- Degree in Physiotherapy and current HCPC registration.
- Post-qualification experience within musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
- Experience working in an outpatient physiotherapy setting.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider clinical team.
