Physiotherapist – Band 6 (Locum)
Job Overview
We are recruiting an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Intensive Rehabilitation & Therapy Service at NELFT, working across Grays Court Community Hospital and Goodmayes Hospital within the North East London NHS. This community-based locum role focuses on delivering high-quality physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for patients supported by a community rehabilitation team. Agile working arrangements are in place, and the role suits a Physiotherapist confident working autonomously within a community setting.
Key Responsibilities

- Undertake independent physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for patients within the community rehabilitation service.
- Manage and prioritise your own caseload, planning and reviewing treatment programmes in line with patient needs.
- Use recognised outcome measures and sound clinical reasoning to guide interventions and evaluate progress.
- Deliver rehabilitation interventions to support recovery, mobility, and functional independence.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and safe discharge.
- Contribute to service delivery during periods of increased demand.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with Trust and HCPC standards.
About You
You are a proactive and capable Physiotherapist with post-qualification experience, ideally within community or rehabilitation services. You bring strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills and are confident managing a caseload independently. Your flexible, patient-centred approach supports effective rehabilitation and positive outcomes for individuals living in the community.
Requirements

- Degree in Physiotherapy and current HCPC registration.
- Post-qualification experience working as a Physiotherapist within the NHS.
- Experience within community rehabilitation services is desirable.
- Confidence in autonomous caseload management and treatment planning.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organisational skills.
- Car driver is preferable due to the community-based nature of the role.
Contract & Salary
- Degree in Physiotherapy and current HCPC registration.

- Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:30
- Part-Time: Considered – minimum 3 days per week (22.5 hours), dependent on experience
