Physiotherapist – Band 6 (Locum)

Job Overview

We are recruiting an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Intensive Rehabilitation & Therapy Service at NELFT, working across Grays Court Community Hospital and Goodmayes Hospital within the North East London NHS. This community-based locum role focuses on delivering high-quality physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for patients supported by a community rehabilitation team. Agile working arrangements are in place, and the role suits a Physiotherapist confident working autonomously within a community setting.

Key Responsibilities

  •
    • Undertake independent physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for patients within the community rehabilitation service.

    • Manage and prioritise your own caseload, planning and reviewing treatment programmes in line with patient needs.

    • Use recognised outcome measures and sound clinical reasoning to guide interventions and evaluate progress.

    • Deliver rehabilitation interventions to support recovery, mobility, and functional independence.

    • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and safe discharge.

    • Contribute to service delivery during periods of increased demand.

    • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with Trust and HCPC standards.

    About You

You are a proactive and capable Physiotherapist with post-qualification experience, ideally within community or rehabilitation services. You bring strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills and are confident managing a caseload independently. Your flexible, patient-centred approach supports effective rehabilitation and positive outcomes for individuals living in the community.

    Requirements

      • Degree in Physiotherapy and current HCPC registration.

      • Post-qualification experience working as a Physiotherapist within the NHS.

      • Experience within community rehabilitation services is desirable.

      • Confidence in autonomous caseload management and treatment planning.

      • Strong communication, documentation, and organisational skills.

      • Car driver is preferable due to the community-based nature of the role.
